A Naxalite was killed on October 17 morning following an encounter with security forces in Bijapur’s Bandepara, an official assertion mentioned.
Police mentioned that one AK-47 rifle was additionally recovered from the spot.
“During a search, there was an encounter between police and Maoists in the forest of Bandepara on the morning of October 17. One Naxal was killed in the encounter between security forces and naxals in the forest of Bandepara,” Inspector-General of Police Bastar P Sundarraj mentioned.
According to police, an extra search operation is underway.
Earlier final month, two ladies Naxalites had been killed in an trade of fireside with District Reserve Guards (DRG) in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada on September 20.
