Suspecting them to be his rivals, a person on Thursday attacked two Special Operations (SO) police constables — who weren’t of their uniform — with sword at a Sikh Basti in Hyderabad.

The incident befell when two constables, recognized as Vinay and Raju, went into the basti in undercover as a part of a homicide investigation.

Out of nowhere, an individual attacked them, with Raju getting injured on his chest, whereas Vinay had a head damage.

Following this, the attacker was taken into custody.

The two injured constables had been rushed to a non-public hospital at Kukatpally. The medical doctors stated that the situation of the injured was secure.

The police personnel stated that the civilian attacked the 2 constables by suspecting them as his rivals after they appeared in plain garments.
