The tableaux of nine central ministries also participated in the Republic Day parade, in which there was a fierce competition between the tableaux of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the tableaux of both the ministries were jointly selected for the first place. The Ministry of Education in its tableau depicted the National Policy on Education and the Ministry of Civil Aviation as ‘Udan-Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik’. The special award has been given to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (CPWD). Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the warriors of Azad Hind Fauj were depicted in the tableau of CPWD. Adorned with flowers, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ was written on the sides of the tableau.
