The police in London said that they arrested two people on Saturday throughout pro-Palestinian events, a part of a “day of action” organised by campaigners round Britain.
In Brixton, South London, a person was taken into custody on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offense for displaying a placard, in response to the Metropolitan Police, reported The Associated Press.
Officers who made the arrest had been then surrounded by different protesters and initially blocked from driving away, police mentioned. A teenage boy was arrested for damaging a police automobile.
In distinction to demonstrations on earlier weekends because the Israel-Hamas struggle started, with marches by tens of 1000’s of protesters in central London, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign referred to as for a “day of action” with events held across the UK.
Events included ceasefire rallies and vigils in locations such as London, Hull within the north of England, Coventry within the heart and the Welsh capital of Cardiff.
