In an obvious reference to Pakistan, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Monday asserted that the consequences of cross-border terrorism can’t be contained inside a area, particularly so when they’re deeply linked to narcotics and unlawful weapons commerce and different kinds of worldwide crimes.

Addressing a joint press convention along with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Schallenberg right here, Jaishankar stated that they had an open and productive dialogue on a vary of regional and world conditions and by and huge, the approaches of each the nations are related, “although clearly we’re situated in numerous areas and now we have our explicit compulsions”.

“Since the epicentre (of terrorism) is situated so near India, naturally our experiences and insights are helpful to others,” the minister said without naming any country.

Jaishankar, who arrived in Austria from Cyprus, is on the second leg of his two-nation tour.
