Mumbai Police, on October 20, arrested a drug peddler who had been posing as a delivery boy and smuggling drugs from the Malad space. Mephedrone (MD) drugs worth Rs 20 lakh have been seized from him, officers stated.

The accused drug peddler has been recognized as Tofiq Ghulam Mohammed.

According to Mumbai’s Malwani police officers, the police had obtained secret info that within the Malad Malwani space, the drug peddler used to smuggle drugs beneath the guise of delivery, after which the police laid a entice and nabbed him.

They apprehended the drug peddler and recovered 200 grams of MD drugs from him.

The different accused, who had come to gather the drug, nonetheless managed to flee from the spot.

“The arrested accused has been under the NDPS Act, and we have initiated a search for the second accused, identified as Irfan Kader Shaikh,” the police stated.
