Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has started One District One Product Scheme, this scheme has proved to be important in industrialization in district and rural areas. Through this large scale employment opportunities have been created in less capital. The massive investment in this sector has not only helped 47 lakh migrant workers, but women have also got employment.

In Uttar Pradesh, in the last five years, MSMEs have created employment for 3.28 crore people in 75 districts of the state. The Department of MSME and Export Promotion conducted a survey to find out how many people were employed by MSMEs and small businesses who have taken loans from banks. For the study, 11 lakh bank accounts were randomly selected out of 95 lakh bank loan accounts, along with physical verification of beneficiary details. According to the survey, about 56 lakh jobs have been created through these bank accounts.

The state has received huge investment of about Rs 4 lakh crore which has been able to accelerate the growth of MSME sector. Based on the survey, in the last 5 years, the government has provided 3.28 crore jobs only through the MSME sector. The priority of the government has been to improve employment potential along with employment generation. For this, the state government started Mission Rozgar, whose objective is to provide training and skills to provide employment opportunities to the people. The MSME sector is playing an important role in this regard. Large scale employment opportunities have been created through this.
