Anton Walkes, a London-born 25-year-old defender with Major League Soccer membership Charlotte FC, has died after an accident in South Florida.
The membership had been within the Miami space for pre-season coaching camp and native media reviews mentioned the participant was concerned in a ship crash on Wednesday.
Local 10 information mentioned that Walkes was discovered unconscious after the crash and acquired CPR from Miami Fire Rescue earlier than he was taken to hospital however later died.
Charlotte mentioned in a press release that they had been “devastated” by the tragedy.

Walkes was a part of the youth set-up at Premier League membership Tottenham Hotspur earlier than transferring to Portsmouth after which heading to Atlanta United in MLS in 2020, having beforehand had a mortgage spell with the membership.
In December 2021, he was taken by Charlotte within the MLS enlargement draft.
