Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Durgesh Kumar Singh stated the lady in her criticism submitted to the Patti police station, has alleged that she befriended SP chief Javed Ahmed, who can be a zila panchayat member, on Facebook. She claimed that Ahmed began speaking to her over telephone and so they finally began courting, Singh stated.

The complainant added that Ahmed allegedly established bodily relations together with her on the pretext of marriage. When she grew to become pregnant, he bought her aborted with the assist of his spouse Salma Begum, he added. The accused additionally threatened the lady when she requested him to marry her, the ASP stated.

Based on the sufferer’s criticism, the police registered a case in opposition to Ahmed and his spouse, following which the SP chief was arrested Friday night and despatched to jail on Saturday, he added.

The case was registered underneath Sections 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing lady to compel her marriage, and many others), 376 (punishment for rape), 313 (inflicting miscarriage with out lady’s consent), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for prison intimidation) and 120B (punishment of prison conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, the police stated.
