A prison defamation criticism has been filed in a courtroom right here on Thursday searching for to prosecute suspended DMK functionary Shivaji Krishnamoorthy for his derogatory speech in opposition to Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi.

The criticism, filed within the Principal District Sessions Court on behalf of the Governor by City Public Prosecutor G Devarajan, sought motion in opposition to Krishnamoorthy for offence underneath Sections 499 and 500 of the IPC.

The Public Prosecutor had moved the courtroom after the State authorities accorded sanction.

Krishnamoorthy, who belongs to the Chennai North celebration district, had made important remarks in opposition to Ravi for skipping parts of the government-prepared tackle to the State Assembly.

Immediately after Krishnamoorthy’s derogatory speech went viral, the Governor’s deputy secretary Prasanna Ramasamy most popular a criticism with the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, on January 13 searching for applicable motion in opposition to him.
