A 24-year-old girl physician allegedly dedicated suicide by injecting herself with anesthesia drug in her dorm of Gandhi Medical College (GMC) in Bhopal.

The girls, recognized as Akansha Maheshwari, was unable to cope with the strain, in keeping with her suicide word recovered by the police in her hostel.

Maheshwari was pursuing post-graduation in paediatrics from the government-run GMC and was in the primary 12 months of the course.

Akansha’s father has blamed the medical school for making her overwork and claimed that his daughter was requested to carry out her duties for 40 hours at a stretch, The Times of India mentioned.

The police have recorded statements of the household and an investigation is on.

During the search of her room, police recovered empty injection vials and a syringe. She had taken 4 doses of anesthesia of two.5 ml every, Koh-e-Fiza police station in-charge Vijay Sisodia mentioned.

A “suicide note” was discovered in the room in which she had purportedly written that she was not mentally sturdy and unable to manage up with stress, information company PTI mentioned.

She highlighted that she was taking this step for “private causes” and no one else was responsible for it. She also apologized to her parents in the note, Sisodia said.
