A girl was arrested for allegedly killing her three-day-old daughter in Latur in Maharashtra, a police official stated on Saturday.

The 25-year-old girl strangled the toddler on December 29 as she was upset at delivering a second lady baby, a probe has discovered, the Gotegaon police station official added.

“The girl, a resident of Holi in Lohara tehsil in Osmanabad, gave delivery in a major well being centre in Kasar Jawala village. She strangled the three-day-old lady with a handkerchief. She was positioned beneath arrest on Friday night after a probe into the demise,” Sub Inspector Kishor Kambale said.
