Two individuals have been arrested in reference to the theft of medical tools and tv units, value greater than Rs 2 crore, from two godowns in Bhiwandi city of Maharashtra’s Thane district, police mentioned on Sunday.

The police have recovered stolen items value Rs. 1.51 crore from the accused, who was apprehended on Friday, deputy commissioner of police Zone II Bhiwandi Navnath Dhavle mentioned.

The thefts had taken place between over the past two months, he mentioned.

The accused had stolen tv units of a preferred model value Rs 75 lakh from a godown, and in one other occasion, they broke right into a godown in Mankoli and decamped with medical tools value Rs 1.38 crore, the official mentioned.

The police workforce labored on varied leads and arrested the duo and are looking out for three others who had been concerned in stealing medical tools, he mentioned.
