Three labourers, amongst them a girl, have been killed after they have been trapped beneath a heap of soil that caved in on them at the development website of a constructing in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad metropolis on Saturday, police mentioned.

The incident passed off round 5 pm at the development website of a multi-storey constructing in Naroda locality of the town, an official mentioned.

Three labourers, amongst them a girl, died after a portion of the soil, which was dug up for the basement of the residential constructing, caved in on them, inspector S J Bhatia of Naroda police station mentioned.

There have been round 25 labourers working at the location at the time of the incident. The soil had moistened because of the current rainfall in the town, he mentioned.

A rescue staff pulled out the victims and rushed them to a hospital the place medical doctors declared them useless, the official mentioned.
