Six individuals died and 16 others had been injured when a truck carrying pilgrims to Yellamma Temple in Karnataka’s Belagavi collided with a tree.

The incident occurred on Ramdurg street in Belagavi when the products provider automobile carrying pilgrims to the Yellamma temple collided with a Banyan tree. Six pilgrims died on spot and 16 had been injured and had been rushed to close by non-public hospital.

The state authorities introduced Rs 5 lakh compensation to kin of the deceased.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has directed the Belagavi district in cost minister to compensate the household of the deceased Rs 5 lakh and care for the therapy of the injured.
