At least eight folks have been killed after a dashing pickup van collided with an auto-rickshaw on the Kalyan-Nashik freeway in Maharshtra’s Pune district.
The accident occurred at round 11.30 pm on Sunday underneath Otur police station limits on Kalyan-Ahmednagar Road in Junnar taluka.
The pick-up car, which was going in direction of Kalyan (in Thane district) from Ahmednagar, collided with the auto-rickshaw coming from the other way close to a petroleum pump at Pimpalgaon Joga, an official mentioned.
Seven individuals from the auto-rickshaw and the pickup car’s driver have been killed, he mentioned.
Meanwhile, in the same incident, 4 individuals have been killed and as many injured when their pick-up van was hit by a truck close to a toll plaza in UP’s Jalaun.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Iraj Raja mentioned some folks have been travelling from Madhya Pradesh in a pick-up truck that was hit by a truck close to Katehari toll plaza on Sunday night time, killing 4 individuals, together with two minors.
