The Centre Friday banned the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy outfit of the phobia group Jaish-e-Mohammed, for its involvement in terror acts in Jammu and Kashmir and elsewhere.

In a notification, the Union Home Ministry stated the PAFF has been usually issuing threats to safety forces, political leaders, and civilians working in Jammu and Kashmir from different states.

The PAFF, together with different organisations, is concerned in pro-actively conspiring each bodily and in social media to undertake violent terrorist acts in Jammu and Kashmir and main cities in India, it stated.

Along with different organisations, PAFF is indulging within the radicalisation of impressionable youth for recruitment and coaching in dealing with weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The group has additionally been concerned in terrorism. It has dedicated and took part in numerous acts of terrorism in India, the house ministry stated.

Therefore, exercising the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of part 35 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the Central authorities declared PAFF a banned organisation, the ministry stated.

In a separate notification, the Union Home Ministry stated it has designated Arbaz Ahmad Mir, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir however is presently based mostly in Pakistan and dealing for the banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a person terrorist.

It stated Mir has been concerned in goal killings and has emerged as the principle conspirator within the killing of a lady trainer, Rain Bala, in Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir just a few months in the past.

Mir has been concerned in coordinating terrorism within the Kashmir Valley and supporting terrorists by transporting unlawful arms or ammunition or explosives from throughout the border, the ministry stated.

The central authorities believes that Mir has been concerned in terrorism and subsequently exercising the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section 1) of part 35 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 designated him as a person terrorist, the notification stated.
