Due to the alertness of security agencies and citizens, the conspiracy to terrorize Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab before 26 January has failed. An unclaimed bag containing explosives was found at Delhi’s Ghazipur Phool Mandi at 11 am today. The weight of the IED recovered from Ghazipur was about three kg. The NSG received information from Delhi Police around 11 am and the explosive was defused at around 1.30 pm. IED samples have been taken

NSG Director General MA Ganapathy said that the Bomb Disposal Squad has prima facie found chemical compounds like RDX and ammonium nitrate in the manufacture of the IED recovered from Ghazipur. The Special Cell of Delhi Police is also investigating by registering a case under the provisions of the Explosives Act.

At the same time, the Special Task Force recovered a large consignment of RDX from Dhanoa Kala village near the Indo-Pak border. It is being told that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and Khalistani terrorists had sent it to blast during the elections. Its weight is more than 5 kg.
