A foreign money alternate agent was robbed of Rs 8 lakh after 4 suspects threw chilli powder in his eyes, the Gurugram Police mentioned on Thursday.

According to the criticism filed by Mohammad Ashif Khan, a local of Uttar Pradesh and presently residing as a tenant in Sushant Lok space, on Tuesday, Arjun, supervisor of a visitor home in Sector 39, advised him {that a} buyer needed to alternate USD 2,500 and he gave him his quantity.

“On Tuesday night, I received a name and the caller advised me that his identify is Ram and he has to alternate USD 2,500. Then it was determined to satisfy close to the liquor store in Sector 39. The caller despatched me a location on WhatsApp at 5.29 pm and after someday, I reached the situation on my bike. A person met me who launched himself as Ram and his automotive was parked close by.

“When each reached close to the automotive, they discovered that three youths had been already sitting inside it. I sat on the seat subsequent to the motive force and Ram sat on the again seat. Soon after, the opposite accused choked my mouth with his hand and the opposite put crimson chilli powder in my eyes. Then the accused began driving the automotive and after robbing me of Rs 8 lakh, containing in a bag, they lastly dropped me on the roadside in Sector-29 and fled away,” Ashif said in his complaint.

He also told police that Rs 2 lakh belonged to him while Rs 6 lakh was given by an acquaintance to his relative. The complaint was given to the police on Wednesday and an FIR was registered under sections 392 (robbery), 34 (common intention) of the IPC at Sadar police station.

“FIR registered and we are trying to identify the accused with the help of CCTV footage of the nearby area of the place of occurrence. The accused will be arrested soon”, mentioned inspector Ved Prakash, the SHO of Sadar police station.
