The ashes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mom Heeraben had been immersed in the Ganga river in Haridwar on Saturday.
The prime minister’s youthful brother Pankaj Modi reached Haridwar on Saturday carrying the ashes of his mom.
The ashes had been immersed in the river on the VIP ghat with vedic rituals.
It was a easy ceremony with no administrative preparations. Neither the administration nor the native BJP unit had any details about it.
Pankaj Modi returned after performing the rites.
Modi’s mom Heeraben handed away on December 30 on the age of 99 in Ahmedabad.
