An 18-month-old woman was mauled by a wild wolf in a village right here, police stated on Thursday.

The incident occurred in a Chakmusi village underneath Baldirai police station space on Wednesday night time, they stated.

The minor, Preeti, was sleeping along with her household in a tent on the bottom of a main college when the wild wolf took her away, sub-inspector (Baldirai) Chandrashekhar stated.

When the woman’s father Sandeep wakened someday in the night time, he discovered that his daughter was lacking, he stated.

Following this, the household looked for the minor and a few villagers discovered a wolf feeding on the woman’s physique, police stated The wolf ran away after seeing the villagers, they stated, including the relations have taken the physique to their hometown in Ambedkar Nagar.

Further investigations are underway, the officer stated.
