Fifteen firms of CRPF comprising 1,500 personnel have been deployed in Jammu and Kashmir’s twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch to safe minority areas in the area, officers stated.

The improvement comes in the aftermath of twin terror assaults in Rajouri’s Dangri village on Sunday night and Monday in which six individuals of a minority neighborhood together with two youngsters had been killed and 11 others had been injured.

The incidents, occurring barely 14 hours aside, triggered protests throughout the district.

One firm of CRPF has been deployed in the Dhangri village, officers stated.

Over 20 firms comprising 2,000 troops might be deployed in militancy-prone and minority areas to strengthen safety in the dual border districts, they stated.

They stated 15 firms have reached the border districts whereas the rest might be attain in the subsequent few days.
