Surajpur: In the presence of Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and District Panchayat CEO Mr. Rahul Dev, today took a meeting of the nodal and assistant nodal officers appointed for the prevention and control of corona at Collector’s Bungalow.
In the meeting, information was taken from the nodal officers and assistant nodals about the preparations for covid-19 made in the district. He directed to make arrangements for adequate beds in all the community health centers and primary health centers in the district. He directed to arrange 100 beds in Mangal Bhavan of district headquarters, 100 beds in Kasturba Residential School, 100 beds in girls’ campus and about 200 hundred oxygen beds in the district hospital and instructed to install CCTV cameras at these places. Apart from this, all the health workers were asked to make arrangements for their living in the building of the district panchayat in the DPRC. Instructions were given to arrange 100 bedded SECL Hospital in bishrampur, 70 to 80 bedded bishrampur CHC and 100 bedded kenapara. Similarly, instructions were given to make 100 beds in Pratappur by mixing Khorma and CHC. Asked the nodal officer to arrange 45 beds in Devnagar for PHC. Instructions were given to increase 100 beds in Odgi. All the covid centers are being prepared in the district headquarters. He directed the municipal CMO to make arrangements for its cleanliness, water to the PHE department and to the E&M and electricity department to arrange electricity at all the places with backup.

He told all the officers that the district administration has to work with safety in Corona. No one needs to be afraid. All work has to be done following the guidelines. All the officers should work in coordination, make proper communication with each other, so that the work is not interrupted. For some reason one officer is not able to talk to another officer. Those officers must keep their alternate person ready so that the situation of any kind of communication gap does not arise. All work is to be done through channel system. This is the time when we need to work beyond our capabilities, understanding our capabilities. The district administration has to work for the people 24 hours a day.
