Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually, the US Federal Aviation Administration mentioned on Wednesday night after all flights throughout the nation have been grounded attributable to a glitch in FAA’s laptop system, leaving 1000’s of passengers stranded at airports.

“Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually across the U.S. following an overnight outage to the Notice to Air Missions system that provides safety info to flight crews. The ground stop has been lifted. We continue to look into the cause of the initial problem,” the FAA mentioned in an announcement on Twitter.

The system that has been hit by the technical glitch alerts pilots and different flight personnel about hazards or any adjustments to airport facility companies and related procedures, CNBC-TV18 reported.

Meanwhile, the White House has dominated out a cyberattack in relation to the outage.

“The president has been briefed by the secretary of transportation this morning on the FAA system outage. There is no evidence of a cyberattack at this point, but the President directed DOT to conduct a full investigation into the causes. The FAA will provide regular updates,” tweeted Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, referring to the transport division and federal aviation authority.

Meanwhile, stranded passengers have been taking to Twitter to share their grievances.
