A 39-year-old Indian-origin man has been charged with capital homicide for allegedly stabbing to dying his 9-year-old son in the US state of Texas, police stated.

He is hospitalised for what the police stated are self-inflicted wounds.

Police positioned the kid after they responded to an emergency name final week from a neighbour, saying a girl discovered her little one unconscious and bleeding at her house.

Upon pressured entry into the home, police positioned her husband in the act of inflicting self-harm with a knife whereas the kid was discovered in the storage with a number of stab wounds, a police assertion stated.

The little one was pronounced deceased on the scene, in accordance with the police.

The accused was transported to an area hospital.

“We proceed to maintain the kid’s mom and their total household in our ideas and prayers throughout this unspeakably troublesome time,” the police assertion stated.

“It’s very sad to hear a story like this so close to us,” Josue Yen, a neighbour, was quoted as saying by the Fox4 tv station.

It quoted India Association of North Texas member Dinesh Hooda as saying that the tight-knit neighborhood was devastated.

“People are nonetheless praying for the household,” he said. “If you are in stress, if you are not able to handle the situation, reach out to friends for help.” The police assured no ongoing menace to the general public and stated that the incident was home.
