A 17-year-old girl residing within the Karjat city of Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra registered a police criticism in opposition to two Muslim boys of allegedly raping and torturing her. As per the police criticism, the accused have been recognized as Ajju Sheikh and Raju Sheikh. The police groups try to find them as they’re absconding for now.
A First Information Report (quantity–221/2023) was registered on the Karjat police station of the Ahmednagar district on April 20.
As per the FIR, the minor girl instructed the police that, the incident occurred on April 7 this 12 months. On April 7, the mom and brother of the sufferer had gone to the market. The accused, whom the sufferer knew already, grabbed the chance and barged into her residence.
Both Ajju and Raju Sheikh the accused took turns raping the minor girl. They are brothers and personal a small mutton store. The sufferer knew the duo as she would often purchase mutton from their store.

Ajju and Raju Sheikh then arrived on the motorbike and they first asked me for water. I knew them so I offered water. Later Ajju pushed me and closed the door from inside. He tore my clothes, tied me, filled my mouth with cloth pieces and established sexual relations with me without my will. Then he went out and sent Raju in. He also raped me”.
After the mentioned incident, the accused threatened the minor girl of killing her relations if she dare spoke a phrase about this. The sufferer was frightened and didn’t say a phrase to her mom or brother once they returned. She additionally burnt the garments that she was sporting that day when the incident occurred.
The sufferer finally spoke up when she was observing extreme abdomen ache. The girl and her mom travelled to their native place within the Yavatmal district the place she revealed what occurred to her in Karjat.
As per a report by OpIndia, the sufferer mentioned that “We have come back to Karjat and have resumed our jobs. We are poor and will die of hunger if we don’t work. The Police have booked the duo but no arrests have been made so far,” the girl mentioned.
On asking about her security in Karjat, she mentioned that the 2 accused usually are not there and that they haven’t been seen within the space because the criticism has been filed. The girl indicated that the accused had been absconding because the day they had been booked within the case.
So far no arrests have been made by the police within the case.
As per the FIR, the accused have been booked beneath IPC sections 376 (rape), 376 D (raped by a number of individuals), 452 (home trespass) and 506 (felony intimidation) and additionally beneath sections 3A, 4, 5G, 6, 3(1)(r) and 3(2)(v) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
