A retired Major was arrested on Monday in Mohali in reference to the hit-and-run case during which his dashing SUV allegedly left a 25-year-old lady feeding stray canine by the roadside grievously wounded two days in the past.
Police recognized the person driving the automobile that hit the sufferer, Tejashwita Kaushal, as 40-year-old Maj Sandeep Sahi (retd). The retired main (40) has reportedly been charged with rash driving and inflicting damage by endangering life or private security of others below sections 279 and 337 of the IPC.

CCTV visuals of the incident that went viral confirmed Tejashwita feeding strays close to the Sector 53 furnishings market at 11.39 pm on Saturday when the automobile coming from the course of Mohali Phase II hit her and sped away.
Tejashwita’s mom then rushed to her and may very well be seen screaming for assist in one other purported clip. A passer-by referred to as the police management room and he or she was taken to the hospital.
