Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the National Youth Festival in Karnataka’s Hubbali on Thursday. The competition is held yearly on National Youth Day which is well known on the delivery anniversary of Swami Vivekananda to honour his beliefs, teachings and contributions.

The 26th version of the youth competition, which will likely be held until January 16 at Hubballi-Dharwad, is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka.

The inaugural occasion was held on the Railway Sports Ground in Hubbali and was attended by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Anurag Singh Thakur amongst others.
