An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude hit Afghanistan on Thursday night time, with tremors felt throughout Delhi-NCR, its adjoining areas and Kashmir valley.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the epicentre of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush area at a depth of 200km under the Earth’s floor. The quake hit the area at round 7.55 pm. Tremors had been felt in Pakistan and Tajikistan too.

There has been no report of any casualty or injury thus far.

NCS is the nodal company functioning beneath the central authorities to observe earthquake actions in the nation.
