“Accordingly, a charge for the offence under section 3 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, punishable under section 4 of the PMLA, is framed against accused Tahir Hussain, read over and explained to him to which he pleaded not guilty and claimed trial,” Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat stated.

Section Three of the PMLA defines the offence of cash laundering.

The courtroom posted the matter for additional proceedings on February 10.

It had earlier stated there was “prima facie sufficient material on record, creating grave suspicion against Hussain” for framing fees.

The courtroom had stated Hussain fraudulently withdrew cash from the accounts of sure corporations owned or managed by him by way of bogus and malafide transactions.

Bogus entry operators used faux payments and made him the beneficiary, with the intent of utilizing the cash for placing it to make use of in direction of the riots, the courtroom had stated.

The Delhi Police had registered three FIRs in reference to the northeast Delhi riots towards Hussain and others beneath numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
